The first private china factory was founded in Hohenberg/ Bavaria in 1814. DIBBERN re-opened the plant in 1997 and has since continued the centuries-old art of traditional china manufacturing applying the highest possible standards.

Manufacturing DIBBERN Fine Bone China requires the highest artisanal standards and technical skills in ceramic production.

The high contents of bone ash (calcium phosphate) distinguish this speciality from common hard porcelain and contribute to the material’s extraordinary density and strength. Combined with the superior resilience characteristics of the material, the soft shimmer of our translucent and delicate Fine Bone China makes it one of the most enchanting porcelains on the market, meeting the highest standards in quality and withstanding the demands of everyday use.

DIBBERN Fine Bone China products are mainly hand-made. Over 75% of the production involves manual labour.
