Carmelina Greco is a self-taught ceramic artist based in Melbourne. She has been creating art her whole life, beginning her exploration of ceramics as a teenager. She draws inspiration from her daily life, including the beautiful beaches and rainforests around her home. Her abstract works are sensual, playful and organic, recalling the natural forms of the Australian landscape. Carmelina employs coiling and other hand-building techniques to create her works, using Australian stoneware clays. She leaves her works unglazed, celebrating the colours and textures of the fired clay.
