'The Lovers' launches online and in our Sydney store on Friday 18 July. These richly layered works reflect on the experience of flourishing and finding oneself within a nurturing and loving relationship.
Sharon Collyer is an artist based in the Southern Highlands. In the tradition of abstract expressionism, Sharon’s work is intuitive and experimental, incorporating various materials in a layered approach. She often works in pairs, allowing her to deeply interrogate her ideas. In this collection she presents three pairs of paintings, all exploring the feelings of connection, love and self-actualisation through considered mark-making and a palette of soft greens and greys.
