These soft orange Sienna plates bring porcelain to life in a harmonious fusion of craft and digital art. The hand-painted look and feel enhance the sense of craftsmanship, while the 3D vector grids and ancient glassware motifs add a modern twist.
Kelly Wearstler started from a digital graphic pattern, inspired by Bauhaus principles, to design Zuma, her range of porcelain tableware. Each pattern is hand-stamped onto the pieces for a hand-painted look and feel, after which the glaze is applied. The patterns vary and you can easily mix and match the different shapes and colours – white, dark grey, and soft orange which is used as an accent colour.
Many of the designs are finished by hand, this may lead to irregularities and is considered a part of the uniqueness of each piece.

Wearstler received her academic training in interior, architectural and graphic design and is the author of five design books.
