"These pieces are a follow on from some sculptural work I was doing when I hit on the idea of creating floor and table lamps, They are hand sculptured bases made from high fired ceramic medium.The inspiration for some of the shapes comes from the Mid Century design principles.
Shades are excerpts from a local abstract artist printed on linen.
Michael Jones has been artisan for over 40 years, currently operating from his studio on Mount Tamborine, Queensland. and his works are in public and private collections and installations around the world.
