Product description

Louis XIV had a deep passion for figs. Jean-Baptiste de La Quintinie, his gardener, planted more than seven hundred fig trees of different varieties in the royal kitchen garden at the Palace of Versailles to satisfy the King's passion, creating a space specially dedicated to them: the Figuerie. La Quintinie also perfected advanced cultivation techniques, such as espalier cultivation (along walls warmed by the sun) to help the figs ripen more quickly in a climate that could sometimes be quite cold.

This fragrance finds its soul in the heart of the King's gardens, where fig trees capture the first rays of spring. Like a game of light and shadow, this elegant fragrance is born from a contrast between light and shade, between fresh green notes and deep woody notes.
