London based label The Jacksons have become an icon with their handcrafted jute bags otherwise known as ‘word-bags’. Made from 100% locally-grown jute they are light, flexible, durable and carbon neutral produced. 

Not only that founder Louise Jackson and her team has made it their mission to celebrate the traditions of artisan craftsmanship while collaborating with the working women in south-west Bangladesh. The Jacksons label provides 1,500 artisans with work all year round along with 4,000 people that are given employment opportunities through the production of jute cord, bead work and embroidery. The Jacksons goal is to create as many job opportunities as possible while empowering and offering independence to as many women as they can.
