This artwork was made during the summer of 2018, which James King spent in the medieval village of Ramatuelle, in the South of France. Travelling extensively throughout France, his lifelong fascination with architecture in general, was tantalised beyond belief.
With seemingly never ending subject matter, James captured doorways, windows, apartment blocks and even parking garages in his unique style. His renowned and skilful use of shadow, light and colour is once again the signature for this collection.
Brutalism and beyond, James’ architectural obsession was the central theme of this exhibition.
