James King spent the 2018 European summer based around the Medieval Village of Ramatuelle in the South of France. Travelling extensively throughout France, his lifelong fascination with Architecture in general, was tantalised beyond belief.
With seemingly never ending subject matter, James has captured doorways, windows, apartment blocks and even parking garages in his unique personal style. His renowned and skilful use of shadow, light and colour (whether bleak or bright), is once again the signature for his collection.
Brutalism and beyond, James’ architectural obsession is the perfect cargo for his 2018 Exhibition.
James King was born in Sydney and graduated from Sydney University in 1993 with a Bachelor of Arts in Fine Art and Archaeology. He then went on to study at the National Art School in Sydney.
