Giorgia McRae - Chauvinistic Heart: to fall hard, fast and for short periods of time, 2022 - Steel, enamel and sandstone - 65x43x8cm

Giorgia McRae is an emerging, abstract artist living and working on Gadigal Land in Sydney, Australia. Working predominantly with metal and steel, McRae creates geometric compositions, abstracting both imagined still life and the human form. In her work, she explores both the tangible and intellectual need for order by articulating the contrast between sharp, minimal line and negative space. Her steel compositions, intentionally bereft of background, often traverse the line between two- and three-dimensional order.
