We are delighted to welcome Harold David to the Becker Minty family of artists. Harold is a multidisciplinary artist that draws his inspiration from life, his personal feelings and the universal field, tapping “into the unknown space that we all share as humans.” There’s a sense of pure freedom in the work that’s universal and poignant. “I put paint on the brush and I have faith and do it. As an abstract surrealist I apply pure automatism and invent my own figurative universes. I work in a spontaneous and fluid way and I don’t take into account coherence and sense.” Harold’s work is now on show in store at Becker Minty.

Fact: Dan Schneiger is good with his hands. A studied architect applying his technical skills and creative mind to raw materials, hand-crafting his incredible and unique neo-brutalist pieces is what seduced Mr Minty when he first discovered Schneiger’s work in a New York gallery in 2016. He knew he had to have it. He contacted Schneiger to ask if he was interested in creating an exclusive collection for Becker Minty. Fast forward to August 2017 when Schneiger arrived in Sydney for the opening of his exhibition at Becker Minty.
“I’ll never forget my excitement when I walked into the courtyard in front of the gallery to see several massive crates marked: DAN SCHNEIGER - MIAMI. Jason, my husband and I, along with the staff at Becker Minty spent the day working together to hang the show and we immediately clicked. It’s been an amazing partnership ever since,” says Schneiger. “Becker Minty is a case study in good taste. Jason’s gallery is a concept store that brings together the best of art and design from around the world for the Australian market. Jason’s very distinct point of view regarding beauty, utility and even humor is evident in everything they offer.” Well, schucks. -
